S.S.M MUSIC CENTREWe are proud to provide quality, inclusive and relevant higher education that develops and builds individuals and organizations alike. Within a caring and supportive environment, we deliver high-quality music training, focused research and professional practice. Each enrolled student is expected to successfully participate in all the musical training programmes provided. These training programmes provide students with basic music theory lessons of which at the later stage, make provision for students to move into playing musical instruments practically. Students who demonstrate proficiency during the initial training programmes are then invited to participate in an advanced musical training program, which includes enrolling for music exams with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Furthermore, students who are capable of playing musical instruments are given an opportunity to audition for the S.S.M Youth Orchestra. This Orchestra will host concerts, perform at shows and collaborate with other Orchestras in order for it to grow. Through these activities and other music events the S.S.M Youth Orchestra is to gain exposure and grow in its music excellence. Periodic evaluations are conducted to assess the value of S.S.M Music Centre with regards to: a) The effectiveness of S.S.M Music Centre to students, b) The effectiveness and contribution of S.S.M Music Centre to S.S.M Music & Arts as an organisationc) The improvement of the well being of students in their daily activities within and outside the Centre  |
